BTEC National Services to People and Territories (SAPAT) : a training which enable students to obtain a Level IV diploma and work-related qualifications in services to people in rural areas.
In this vocational training, groups of students can get involved in some projects which enable them to help charities during the school year. It is a good way of creating interesting partnerships with organizations working at international level :
BTEC National Technician in Selling Food (TCVA) : a training which enable students to obtain a Level IV diploma and work-related qualifications in selling foodstuffs in the retail sector and direct selling too.
In this vocational training, visiting the Christmas street market in London, related to teaching the business techniques, economics and food engineering took place between the 11 and 15 of December in the first year of technical college.
The European Section :
This option is open to students of BTEC National Services to People and Territories or Technician in Selling Food.
It is aimed at investing and integrating in English what they learned during economics, history-geography and sociocultural education classes in order to be more independent during a school trip in a European country and thus to understand better what means to be a mature and responsible European citizen.
Study trip :
In the European section, study trips have been organized since 2011 in different European countries : in Ireland, Galway and Dublin (2011-2012), in Malta, La Valette and Gozo (2013) and in Greece, Athens and especially in the Peloponnese, Gastouni since 2014.
These one-week study trips enable students to discover the cultural and professional practices of an another european country related to our subjects. It is aimed at focusing administrative political, economic and social management of the country.
Training periods abroad :
The final year students of BTEC National Services to People and Territories or Technician in Selling Food enrolled in the European section can apply for doing their training period in Greece, in Gastouni in the Peloponnese.
In November and December 2016, one student of BTEC National Technician Selling Food did one-month training period in the Proton Georgakopoulos Supermarket of Gastouni.
And four students of BTEC National Services to People and Territories did their one-month training period in the “Panaghia I Katholiki” Retirement Home of Gastouni.
